Lions meet the needs of local communities and the world every day because they share a core belief - to serve their community.

Lions International

Our major service initiative is serving the blind and visually impaired and are dedicated to youth programs and helping young people in our community and around the globe.

Today, Lions International is 1.4 million strong with active clubs in over 190 countries and geographic areas worldwide. The Global Service Framework focuses the efforts of Lion and Leos on five service are-as: Vision Care, Environment, Hunger Relief, Childhood Cancer and Diabetes. The services will triple our humanitarian impact resulting in our serving 200 million people per year by 2021. No matter how you chose to serve, our responsibility to our motto “We Serve” is now more of a mission than a motto.

Meetings

We meet the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month at the Lions Club Pavilion located at the end of Trojan Ave, Sparta, NC in Sam Brown Park. Meetings are at 6:30 and are designed for Club members, as a group, to evaluate current projects/programs, plan for future projects/programs and conduct business. Member presentations are often part of the meetings.
